Crispy
All I wanted for lunch was a BLT with some frites that were crispy. Asked for some extra burned ones - I got soggy steak fries. Not off to a great start with the craft services people.
So now I am longing for some fries, a newspaper and some action to happen on Colfax. There seem to be one or two women of the night lurking, but since we are so far east it is hard to know for sure. Maybe if the ho's gang up on a pimp across the way I can capture it for the digital domain.

Feelings oh oh feelings
Until about 5 pm. See they had to add another port so surgery was called for. That was all well and good, but seemingly every procedure that I get done here they don't knock you out. (I'll get back to that)
So the sedation part, "chuck we're going to give you something to make you relax and sleepy". Okay. 3 shots later i can STILL FEEL IT. Mike and Mike the nurses today were like really? yeah really so 15 minutes into a 20 minute deal I finally get the numb, relaxed thing. I told them to hook it up right away so it would be working, but since they are the pro's and I only know my body, the pro's win out. Sheesh that was one long breath. No fault assigned it just is.
Now hours later it feels like someone slapped me and my head spun around several times and someone finally plunged that knife in my heart, shoulder and neck. I kid you not. I feel a bit yucky.

It is okay to let you see yourself through others so you can see you'r faults and theirs, and for others to see you as they see you or want to see you (perspective). Life. You can't go anywhere until you can't leave. Ponder that my feisty lil kittens (used with apologies, since I can't do the accent justice.)
When I look you all in the eyes know that I believe in, thank and appreciate all of you and when this is all said and done, we'll go for a ride on snow, a bike, a wave, in the air or in the car.

Funny chemo side effect is that I have straight hair that lays down (think Clooney in ER) I can even make it wavy even after trimming it down a bit.
That is an unknown variable, (in a world of unknwons this is what I get: "wow" sorry, that was not expected, but we'll note it as we are on the drug board). Humm what? No one ever went from nappy to straight, then I get the 'oh your are "rare" in what you have, etc, BS, etc; well it is not bs, cause it is rare and so no one knows Wtf. ( uhh I dont even like rare). (bad placement on the punchline)
Oh left I out a bit of since it came back even more grey, randomly sticking out I had an Alfalfa sprout on the top of me head (yeah I said me) and weed wacked it. Wtf.
The other news is that within two weeks I'll be straight hairless again. Yippee.

Summertime fun
Nice lil ride yesterday - fun, made some efforts, felt decent (due to managing diet well) and even threw down a sprint that caught those fools off (now that one will get me shelled) and did a good deed by directing some nice Oklahoma people on how to get back.
3 guys 3 slurpee's - a nice ride, I have no idea why more people don't just stop and get one on hot days, break up the suffering, get the coke on pomagranate (sp) makes it look like your bleeding, heavily.

Local Cat 4 Racer Faces Paternity Suit

A local woman is suing "local cat 4 pro” racing star Sven Taadpoule, claiming he's the father of her 4-month-old daughter and demanding a paternity test. Missy Guided, 21, filed the lawsuit after Taadpoule refused to recognize the child as his after the past race season and before the start of Cross racing. Ms. Guided's lawyer, Maurice “Mo” Looten, told the gathered cycling press on Friday.
Taadpoule, who races locally and regionally, has never been married and since 1999 has lived in Greater Boulder area.
Looten said that Ms. Guided initially wanted to settle the matter directly with Taadpoule, but her attempts failed. “He was always on his bicycle claiming to be “in training” she said. If Taadpoule formally denies paternity, they will request a paternity test, Looten said.
Ms. Guided told Friday's gathered cycling press that Mr. Taadpoule "knew about my pregnancy from the start." She decided to sue him after he told her recently that "he would never be able financially support the child since he is a "cat 4 pro", and that she would never be able to get the red grouppo, his bikes or any cash out of him.
Mr. Taadpoule, 24, has entered and completed in many events and has been featured on fliers for races and on shadowy websites dedicated to racing bicycles and bicycle racers. In the past he has dated Jenn Garnerson, Nickhole Kidderman, LaShandra Bulocks and numerous random women.
BS tried to contact Mr. Taadpoule and unfortunately he could not immediately be reached for comment.

Bioooooooowpsy
Had another one today. Not so gruesome this time. Thanks to SteveH for the ride to and fro. Made quick stop to feed his tape worm and now I am laid up, wating for the next time I can take a pill, which if you know me, I detest. I mean I will take a vitamin, supplements every now and then. But being on a schedule to take pills makes me jittery/anxious/defiant/unhappy. Hell if I get a headache the last place I run to is the med cabinet.

Or just watch - COMA on HBO in the next few days. A helmet is no guarantee, but, if it lessens the blow and keeps you from suffering worse, that investment (buying and wearing one) is worth it.
I see kids everyday riding around the hood, not even paying attention with no helmets and it makes me sad.
Nothing may ever happen, but why even take the chance? Is it really that hard to come correct with 40 bucks so something that can save you from an ambulance ride, a helicopter ride, months and years in rehab?
