Riding on the front

At least that happened for a while. Which was nice, one crash not so nice.

We need more guys out there. 3 riders vs 9 is no match when they decide to patrol the front and dictate pace and start launching spurious attacks - I was in there thinking "is that really needed right now" I guess it was and they threw down, I rode on and felt like ass and dropped off then out to go home and relax.

Good Effort

Rode the MTB with the road slicks and got a couple of good efforts in and met a few new team mates at the CT. Took a while to feel good on the bike - felt like I was pedaling mush and squares. Opened it up with the boys a few times and viola nice and open - gotta get a few more efforts in on the roadie then switch up to the MTB for the first events of the year, the roll back to the roadie for a couple RRs' then back to the MTB. Wacky but fun I should not get bored this year on the bike.

Gotta shower and eat and back to the J-O-B hunt. How can you be the SGITR and not get a second or third interview or a damn job. Amazing

Was hit by a car over the weekend. Although I have met him once, I do know his roomie Dave T and Dave is always jazzed with Dan and has always had nothing but nice and welcoming things to say about him.

LSM with DHL

Good ride in today - up the canyon to Jamestown to Lee Hill up and over and back down and around took about 4 hours as I said LSM ( long slow miles) with high cadence and pushing a harder gear when possible. Good work out even have the post ride hack back now. Almost got clipped by a DHL truck I was flying down the canyon and there was no one behind me then ROAR DHL. Nice.

Nice RIDE

Had the chance to finally hook up with Derek and Kai for a ride. It has been like 2 years since I had a chance to ride with him.

Hooked on to the back of a couple dudes doing intervals up the CC bike path and got to REI in record time - shit that was fast I was way early. So I rode to Einsteins to see if Andy was working, since he is the boss over there, no such luck saw it took 10 minutes to get there and is was only 5:10 and made a few laps on off lodo streets.

Finally hooked up and made for Denver southwest. Being off the bike for 3 days was a blessing I felt so fresh and clean and now the body does not even hurt. I am happy for that and for seeing Kai! That kid is a chatter box.

So it turned into a fun day at the end.

Depressing. Interviewing sucks especially when you realize like 10 minutes in that you should be on the other side doing the interviewing. How do these people get and keep jobs like that? I am sure that they are nice and professional however when you can't speak to the business plan or 1,3, 5 year plans and goals your very misinformed.

That was a rough start to the comp year, windy, cold lite rain drops and a crushing speed. WOW. From the start it was 25mph FROM THE START I said.

Cool guys to ride with but most went out to hard way tooo hard and while I popped first and gave it up in the head wind I feel cool about it, now I know. Saw one dude sketch hard and rip the crap out of his shorts and that was it for me. Seemed like a big gust got him and he was not prepped for it. Got some pics afterward I'll post them later it was an early early morning and a drive so off I go.

Busy Busy

Other than minor bs here and there it has been stupid busy. Lots of recruiters, couple of phone interviews. Need to get postal in a minute and eat something.

Tailoring cover letters and resumes is time consuming and self editing is never the best idea, hence a couple of mis matched dates. Happens when they want stuff now now now.

At least they were cool about the mix up. That was nice to see. Maybe the world will come around and realize that life is fun.

Nothing solid yet but here is hoping hard work will pay off.

People are thoughtless and mean. Hold grudges, would rather tell you all about you rather that just wish you luck or whatever and then just live life. At some point in everyones life the pages turn and your left with either bitterness or whatever. Chose something healthy instead of being a total and complete ass.

If there are axes to grind from 2/3/4 years ago for whatever reasons you have problem and it is not me or your boss, your kids, parents, bike or plants. Live life. Viva La Life.
